Wild Atlantic Wavelengths

Following on from my fascination concerning the idea that humans, along with our our entire cosmos is analogue in nature and we are not anything like the binary code DNA biological computers the New Age gurus and Transhumaists proclaim we are, I have been spending a lot of time here on the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland where I live, just looking at waves.

Since becoming a Wavespotter, I have come to see all the staggering diversity in wave forms and how each wave seems to have a distinct personality, like us humans. The awesome power of all that energy exploding in one final impact - just before the wave hits the coastline - contains within its mass and form - so many variables that the idea for this series of paintings came about.

We are the wavelengths, and the wavelengths are us and all we experience.
